This will ensure you have an entirely clean graphics driver. Go back to normal windows, go to download folder and run and reinstall the nvidia driver you downloaded earlier.Īfter the driver has fully installed and rebooted you can reconnect your internet. When running tick the box to entirely remove all Nvidia drivers. You then install and run the DDU software from your downloads folder. This will then load up windows with only basic drivers etc. Then click start up settings, and select start windows in safe mode. This will bring you to a troubleshooting menu where you select trouble shoot the advanced options. Then you go to restart pc off the start button, except hold down shift as you do this. You then disconnect your internet, either by unplugging it or disabling wifi. You go to the Nvidia site and download the very latest driver and save it to your pc rather than running it.

So you download the DDU program and save it, you dont need to run it at this stage. You can find it by searching Display Driver Uninstaller and then downloading from somewhere reputable like guru3d. DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) is a tool for ensuring all remanents of a graphics driver are fully uninstalled before adding a new one.
